Funny smelling billboard

In North Carolina a supermarket has placed a billboard on the side of the road that smells like barbeque and steak. In order to get the people passing by taking notice of the billboard, a machine was placed on the side of the road that produces the smell of steak being grilled on the barbeque. It's a great way to advertise the meat you have to sell.

Splattering mailing

Letting people experience a product or something gets them more involved and excited than the usual newsletter or advertisements. This is a nice example about how to reach people who live busy lives and have a short attention span. To point out that the service is a online laundry the target group was sent a box with a tomato in it. When the box was opened they were told to smash the tomato. And who doesn't like to smash things?

Wrinkle (free) poster

What is a better example of anti wrinkle cream than a poster on which people can wrub out the wrinkles themselves. This billboard let's you remove the wrinkels of a woman's face in order to see how great the product works. Cleverly thought out. But what if the first person did all the work and the poster is wrinkle free? Perhaps someone needs to "reset" the poster so that more people can experience the effects.

Corporate identity done right

13th street is a television station that shows crime and thriller series. To extend their brand they decided to change their letters, emails and envelopes to a more suitable style. Now they can nail a staple through someone's eyes, or perforate a person's head. A clever marketing strategy to make sure people remember your emails and letters.

Save on staples, save trees

A nice looking poster from a campaign from Greenpeace in China about the effects of using to much paper (and staples). I don't think they will be doing this again, seeing as how many staples were used for this billboard.

Covergirl cosmetics thought of an idea to illustrate how big the brushes are for their mascara. Just paint the subway exit, put a billboard next to it and people will see the connection. Maybe next time they should do something similar with the carwash.

Colourful sidewalks

To park your car on a busy boulevard you might have to pay quite some money. Tambour, the biggest paint retailer of Israel thought of an idea that might benefit those people that want to park throughout the city.
They painted the borders of the sidewalk in different colourschemes so that people can see if they can park for free, pay for it, or aren't allow to park at all.

Billboard(s) Advertising: Drooling dog

Sometimes the combination of two billboards can create great advertising ideas. In this case they booked two billboards, right across of each other in a small street. On one billboard there is a dog (of the breed Gread Dane) on a white background. It looks straight at the billboard in front of him. This sight of the other billboard makes him drool, which drops from his tongue to the ground beneath the billboard. On the ground they created puddle with jam sugar that dropped from a installation of a canister and a tube.

On the other side of the street the viewer sees the picture of dog food!

After the fire-department took a look at the thing it seemed that there was a smoke machine in the billboard as part of a marketing campaign. The machine was connected to a timer that would randomly set it of.
